Afterglo Privacy Policy
Version: 2026-07-28
Your trust is highly valued. Dating asks you to open up — who you are, who you hope to meet, the photos that feel like you, the patterns you’re trying to understand. This Privacy Policy explains what Afterglo Labs, Inc. (“Afterglo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects in the Afterglo app, website, and related services, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We wrote this to be readable. It pairs with our Terms of Service. If it doesn’t sit right with you, please don’t use Afterglo.
1. What This Covers
This Policy applies when you use Afterglo — including signing up, building a profile, answering questions, using Atlas, messaging, talking with Glo, using AI-powered features, submitting conversations for analysis, contacting support, or visiting our website.
It does not cover other companies’ apps, websites, platforms, or services that we do not control.

If you use conversation analysis, we may collect and process the conversation text, screenshots, messages, profile context, or other content you submit so Glo can generate feedback.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to submit any conversation or third-party content you provide.

If you contact us or report someone, we may collect:
- Your email;
- Account details;

- App version;
- Device type;
- Operating system;
- Crash logs;
- Diagnostic data;
- Basic interaction signals;
- Security and fraud-prevention signals;
- Approximate technical information, such as IP address, where needed to operate and protect the Services.
We do not use an advertising ID, IDFA, or ad-tracking SDK in the current design.
Location
We do not collect precise location to power discovery right now.
If that changes, we will update this Policy before collecting precise location for discovery and provide any choices or permissions required by law or platform rules.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal data to:
Run Afterglo
We use your information to create accounts, show profiles, enable matching, support messaging, operate Atlas, power Glo, provide customer support, process reports, and maintain the Services.
Make the Product Feel Personal
We use your profile, preferences, Relational Archetype data, Atlas data, messages, interactions, and other signals to personalize your experience, including compatibility insights, match context, prompts, recommendations, and guidance.
Power Glo and AI Features
We use relevant information to power Glo, including:
- Ice breakers;
- Conversation guidance;
- Date ideas;
- Compatibility insights;
- Atlas explanations;
- Relational Archetype guidance;
- Conversation analysis;
- Other AI-powered support.
Depending on the feature, this may include your profile, preferences, assessment answers, archetype data, messages, Glo chats, match context, and content you submit.
Keep People Safer
We use information to detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to abuse, harassment, scams, spam, fake accounts, fraud, policy violations, security issues, and illegal activity.
This may involve automated systems, human review, or both.
Improve Afterglo
We use information to fix bugs, understand what works, test features, improve product design, train internal quality processes, strengthen Glo’s usefulness, and build what’s next.
Communicate With You
We use contact information to send service messages, security alerts, support replies, policy updates, product updates, and other messages related to your account or use of the Services.
Follow the Law
We may use information to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and protect rights, safety, and property.
4. How Glo Uses Your Data
Glo uses relevant information from your Afterglo experience to provide personalized dating and relationship guidance.
This may include your profile, preferences, Relational Archetype assessment answers, Atlas data, messages you send, conversations with Glo, match context, and any conversation text or screenshots you choose to submit for analysis.
Glo may use this information to generate:
- Ice breakers;
- Conversation guidance;
- Date ideas;
- Compatibility insights;
- Conversation analysis;
- Archetype-aware feedback;
- Suggestions for how to better understand or approach a connection.
Glo’s responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, awkward, or based on limited context. You should use your own judgment before acting on them.
We share only the context reasonably needed for the feature with our AI service providers. We do not permit our AI service providers to use your personal data to train their general AI models unless we tell you and obtain any consent required by law.
5. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal data for money.
We may share information with:
Other Members
Other members may see what you choose to put on your public profile and the messages you send them.
If you report an issue, we may share limited information when needed for safety, enforcement, or transparency, but we may limit what we share to protect privacy and safety.
Service Providers
We share information with providers that help us operate Afterglo, such as:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers;
- Authentication providers;
- Email and support tools;
- Payment processors;
- Analytics or diagnostics providers;
- Security and fraud-prevention providers;
- AI model providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic, where used;
- Other vendors that help us provide, protect, and improve the Services.
These providers are allowed to use information only as needed to provide services to us, comply with law, or as otherwise permitted by their agreements with us.
AI Providers
When you use Glo or AI-powered features, relevant context may be sent to AI providers so they can generate responses.
We work to limit the information shared to what is reasonably needed for the feature. AI providers process that information under agreements that limit how they may use it.
Legal, Safety, and Rights Protection
We may share information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law or legal process;
- Respond to lawful requests from authorities;
- Enforce our Terms;
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues;
- Protect the safety of users or others;
- Protect our rights, property, and Services.
Business Transfers
If Afterglo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
With Your Direction or Consent
We may share information when you ask us to, direct us to, or give us permission.
We do not share your personal data so other companies can market their own products to you in the current design.
6. Cookies and Similar Technology
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are needed for sign-in, security, preferences, basic site function, and product performance.
If we add optional analytics, advertising, attribution, retargeting, or tracking technologies later, we will update this Policy and provide choices where required by law or platform rules.
7. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal data only as long as we need it to run Afterglo, provide the Services, keep people safer, comply with law, settle disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business needs.
In general:
- Account and profile data are kept while your account is active.
- Messages are kept while needed to provide messaging, safety, moderation, legal, and product functions.
- Glo chats and AI inputs are kept while needed to provide, improve, debug, and protect Glo and related features.
- Conversation analysis inputs are kept while needed to provide the feature, maintain safety, improve quality, resolve disputes, and comply with law.
- Reports, enforcement records, and safety-related data may be kept longer to prevent abuse, fraud, ban evasion, or harm.
- Support emails may be kept as long as needed to respond, maintain records, and improve support.
- Technical logs, crash logs, and diagnostic data are generally kept for shorter periods unless needed for security, fraud prevention, debugging, or legal reasons.
- Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion before being overwritten.
You can delete your account in Settings, where available, or contact support@afterglo.love. When you delete your account, we remove or de-identify profile data, subject to legal holds, safety needs, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, and other legitimate reasons described in this Policy.
We may retain limited information after account deletion to prevent banned users from returning, protect users, comply with law, resolve disputes, collect fees, investigate abuse, or enforce our Terms.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You have choices.
In the app, you may be able to:
- Edit your profile;
- Update preferences;
- Change photos;

We will respond to verifiable requests as required by law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Some features may not work the same if you delete or limit information needed to provide them.

We may update this Policy from time to time.
When we do, we will post a new version date. If the change is material, we may also notify you in the app, by email, or by another reasonable method.
